President

I’ve been riding mountain bikes for 40 years-with no end in sight. In addition to being the current president, I have also held the Vice President and Trail Work Coordinator positions. I also help coach the NICA team in Oakridge. Helping grow the mtb community through social events, and trail work is a huge passion for me.

I bought my first mountain bike from Hutch’s in 1992, joined DOD in 2016, and became Secretary in 2017. After 15 years in Portland I moved back to my hometown of Cottage Grove and stumbled upon the trails at Wypass. It was love at first ride. I immediately upgraded my vintage mountain bike to a new Kona Honzo and attended all of the Disciples of Dirt events. I was thrilled to have found such a welcoming group of people who share my enthusiasm for bikes and community. In addition to mountain biking, I am an avid bike commuter and occasionally race BMX.

Trail Work Coordinator

Since retiring from a career with the BLM, I've become addicted to riding mountain bikes! In addition to riding, I was tapped by the club president to take on the role of trail work coordinator, and have been working at bringing new experiences to riders like Thurston Hills, and building/maintaining trails at Carpenter Bypass for over 7 years.

Rides/Events Coordinator

First off, I love bikes! I initially got into road biking mainly as part of triathlon, while I was in college, but didn’t really try mountain biking until I moved to Oregon in 2019. I am passionate about the sport of mountain biking and I love the community and stoke that mountain biking brings with it. I love riding steep, difficult trails and big jumps and drops, but I am just as happy to pedal calm miles on XC trails or have laid back social rides. I enjoy doing trail work and helping out at as many DOD events as possible and I’m stoked to be able to do so in an official capacity. See you on the trails!
